Location: London and Hybrid

Salary: £100,000 to £120,000

ELBA is a charity founded in 1989 by leading members of the City’s business community.  It has a clear mission and goals: to promote social mobility, tackle poverty, and fight inequality. Each year over 12,000 people from around 100 businesses join with us to work with our network of community organisations, schools, colleges, and universities.

Our current Chief Executive, Ian Parkes, is leaving us, after eight successful and happy years. We are in a sound financial position, with consistent year-on-year surpluses, steadily increasing reserves and a strong cash position. We have a very well-established reputation in the business community, as well as strong partnerships and relationships in the local areas we serve.

We are looking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer to promote, maintain and develop ELBA’s position as a leading social regeneration organisation in London, and one of the UK’s largest creators of employer-supported volunteering. In this position, the CEO will have the challenging task of creating and leading the strategic direction for the organisation, while aligning the corporate community engagement priorities of our business partners with the needs of the local community.

You will have a strong track record of operating at senior management level in the charitable and/or business sector and of operational delivery (delivering challenging goals, meeting timescales, and delivering on quality requirements). You will bring a good understanding of finance, proven people leadership and management skills, and a demonstrable track record in finding and winning funding.
