The Road Safety Trust
“Zero deaths and serious injuries on UK roads” is the vision that embodies The Road Safety Trust, an independent grant-giving charity committed to making UK roads safer and achieving impact through the funding of practical measures, research, dissemination and education.
Since its inception in 2014, The Road Safety Trust has funded 85 projects and awarded £6.8 million in grants, becoming the largest independent grant funder of road safety initiatives in the UK. The funds come from their trading subsidiary company, UKROEd, which operates the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS). As a not-for-profit organization, UKROEd directs any surplus generated at the end of the financial year to The Road Safety Trust which enables the trust to allocate grants in support of a wide range of road safety initiatives annually.
The Trust is actively searching for two dedicated individuals to become Trustees on their Board, aligning with shared values and contributing significantly to the ongoing advancement and success of The Road Safety Trust's initiatives. As well as joining the Board, one of the Trustee will take on a role in The Road Safety Initiatives (RSI) Committee, while the other will serve as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC).
