Salary (£)
15,000/year - 20,000/year

Established in 2012, Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation mandated by the Government and the Competition & Markets Authority to collect information on safety, quality, and costs in private healthcare in the UK. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders including hospitals consultants, regulators, insurers and other public bodies, we publish unbiased information for everyone to access, which not only supports more informed patient choice and aims to provide peace of mind to those due to receive treatment but also help providers and consultants improve their services. Our vision is that everyone can make confident choices about their healthcare and get the best outcomes.

We are now looking for two Non-Executive Directors to join our high-calibre Board. You will bring balance, independence, scrutiny, and support in developing our work as a champion of transparency and accurate information in healthcare and help position the organisation strategically to deliver its mission to 'Serve patients, Support Stakeholders and Deliver the Order’. Both Non Executives will bring keen judgement, constructive challenge, and a collaborative style. One requires a deep understanding of healthcare and related politics in the UK developed by operating at senior levels in either the NHS or private health sectors. This can either be a healthcare professional or a senior leader of a healthcare related entity. The other will need to demonstrate significant expertise in data management and the implementation of major digital programmes. You do not necessarily require previous Non-Executive Director experience, you should have a good understanding of the contribution expected of a Non-Executive Director and be able to demonstrate how you can contribute fully to the work of the Board.

We work hard to provide an environment where everyone feels accepted and valued and are determined to continue educating ourselves to ensure our behaviours reflect our values and our commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. We encourage applicants from a wide and diverse range of backgrounds, recognising the more diverse our community, the more able we are to reflect the diversity of the patients we serve.
