About the role
This is an exciting role to work with Sustrans as part of the Happier Lives Team to increase the impact of our behaviour change work within schools across Wales.
As the Curriculum Support and Communications Coordinator, you will develop and maintain relationships with key organisations, engaging with people in different communities and backgrounds to help us ensure our work with schools is fully inclusive, reaching those who benefit most from our support.
You will develop education resources linked to the new curriculum in Wales to support the integration of active travel activities in schools, as well as providing communications and marketing support to the Active Journeys Team across Wales.
We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub.
About you
With experience of working in education provision and of producing engaging content for a range of audiences, you will have a proven ability to write with inspiration and flair, applying brand and style guidelines, supporting stakeholder networks and of organising and running events and receptions.
Your excellent communications skills will enhance your ability to develop local promotional materials and content for Sustrans Cymru’s schools related web pages and social media channels. Oral and written fluency in the Welsh language is desirable.
IT literacy is essential as is an understanding of school settings and the health benefits of active travel and your commitment to active travel and the promotion of sustainable transport.
You will be skilled in demonstrating openness, inclusiveness, sensitivity and the ability to interact respectfully with all people and understand individuals’ differences.
